The NFL announced some of the confirmed names of players who will announce picks in the second and third rounds of the 2019 NFL draft. Former Arizona Cardinals great Larry Centers will announce the team’s third-round pick but no one was confirmed for their second-round selection.
For the second round, it is going to be a former first-round pick of the team.
While it might be fun to speculate who that might be, some fun on social media realized something even better — which former first-round picks should not be the guy to announce Arizona’s second-round pick.
Matt Leinart

Leinart was supposed to be the savior of the franchise when he fell to the 10th pick in the 2006 draft. He even showed promise as a rookie. However, he busted out of the league and flamed out of Arizona, not only losing the starting job to Derek Anderson in 2010 but also burning bridges on his way out.
Jonathan Cooper

Cooper was general manager Steve Keim’s first-ever draft pick and he was part unlucky and part just not good. A freak broken leg in his first preseason game ended his rookie year and then he was never good after that. He got traded to the Patriots and was subsequently cut by the Pats, Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers.
Levi Brown

Brown probably is the least-popular first-round pick ever. He was the scapegoat for all the Cardinals’ offensive line issues, He was terrible as a pass blocker and he represented the guy the Cardinals picked instead of Adrian Peterson.
Michael Floyd

Between the drops, the offensive pass interference penalties and the DUI leading to his release, he would make a bad representative.
Wendell Bryant

Bryant flamed out as a can’t miss prospect on the defensive line. He had 1.5 sacks in three seasons. Substance abuse and suspensions make him a bad choice.
Simeon Rice

Rice was a very good player and one of the best pass rushers the league has seen, however, his calling the Cardinals the “armpit of the NFL” and comments about the fallen Pat Tillman make him a bad choice to rep the Cardinals.
