6 Eagles whose stock is up after preseason game against the Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens got the victory in Thursday night’s preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles, but Howie Roseman and company should take solace in the great play they saw from the quarterback and wide receiver positions.

There’s only one week of the preseason remaining, but with most of the starters expected to sit next week, here are six Eagles whose stock is up after the 25-16 loss to the Ravens.

Josh McCown

McCown started off slow but showed the Eagles that he’ll be a capable backup while surrounded with elite talent.
The former ESPN analyst finished the night 17/24, for 192 yards and 2 touchdowns, with a passer rating of 122.2.

JJ Arcega-Whiteside

Arcega-Whiteside had the offense all to himself on Thursday night, and he showed why he was coveted by the Eagles, as the former Stanford star racked up eight catches for 104 yards, including a beautiful 20-yard, back of the end zone touchdown catch in the third quarter. Arcega-Whiteside plays with a presence and showed that he’ll be a matchup nightmare regardless of where the team lines him up.

L.J. Fort

Fort made plays on Thursday night and spent the majority of the evening hunting ball-carriers with undrafted rookie, T.J. Edwards. Fort finished the night with four tackles and 2 TFLs.

T.J. Edwards

The Eagles have to find a roster spot for Edwards, who only gets better with extended reps and playing time. Teamed with L.J. Fort on Thursday, Edwards hunted Ravens running backs, was active in pass coverage and led the team with seven tackles.

Corey Clement

Clement returned to the Eagles lineup and showed burst and explosiveness while posting modest numbers of seven carries for 25 yards. Clement locked down the third running back spot and showed no rust after a serious knee injury suffered last season.

Greg Ward

Ward is making it hard for Mack Hollins and the Eagles coaching staff after an outing that saw him amass four catches for 45 yards. Ward continues to look comfortable and confident in pressing Mack Hollins for playing time. Hollins had two catches for 15 yards and strong special teams play that continues to give him the lead in the roster battle.
