The Philadelphia Eagles are in really good shape salary cap wise and have the heart and soul of their team signed through the 2021 seasons. That doesn’t mean there won’t be attrition of the roster with young guys moving in and a few veterans moving on.
With Howie Roseman on the job accumulating draft picks and compensatory picks and just downright redefining what a salary cap guru is, here are four Eagles offensive players who’ll be free agents next winter.
Alshon Jeffery:
The Eagles star wide receiver will be 30 years old by the time the Super Bowl has been completed, and although his 2019 salary is guaranteed at $11,750,000, with a prorated bonus of $2,975,000, Jeffery’s salary in 2020 is not guaranteed past $1,000,000 for injury purposes per Over The Cap.
If Jeffery doesn’t have a big year or isn’t willing to restructure his deal, the Eagles could choose to move on.

Nelson Agholor (UFA)
The Eagles exercised Agholor’s 2019 fifth-year option this past offseason, but the wideout was the subject of trade or release rumors, up until the draft was completed. Agholor will be a free agent next season, and a huge year could force the Eagles to choose between him and Alshon Jeffery.

Nate Sudfeld (UFA):
Sudfeld is the Eagles backup quarterback, but Howie Roseman loves compensatory picks, and with Carson Wentz entrenched as the franchise quarterback, the plan is for Sudfeld to show enough in camp and limited game opportunities, that he deserves to be a starter on his own team. Sudfeld could also return to Philadelphia on a team friendly deal.

Jordan Howard (UFA):
With Miles Sanders selected in the second round, this could be a one year rental for the Birds who traded for Howard. The Eagles are likely to wait and see how Howard performs in the Eagles’ offense as the lead running back.
If Howard can return to his status as one of the top rushers in the league, an extension could be on the horizon.

Jason Peters (UFA):
The future Hall of Famer will likely start his countdown towards retirement, but the fact remains this is probably Peters final season in Philly as a player.

Halapoulivaati Vaitai (UFA):
The move to right guard has paid off, and now Vaitiai’s versatility could get him paid on the open market.
