6 Browns who are being snubbed from deserving Pro Bowl opportunities

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero released the current standings in terms of Pro Bowl voting as we have just five weeks to go in the season. And to the dismay of the Cleveland Browns, there are numerous snubs left off of the list. Players like cornerback Denzel Ward and offensive tackle Dawand Jones have been cornerstones of Cleveland’s success this season as they sit at 7-5 on the year.

And yet neither are currently in the top-10 in voting at their respective positions.

The Pro Bowl has been known to be a popularity contest as memorable names tend to get the benefit of the doubt over more deserving breakout candidates. However, Ward has been there and done that before, and yet he is still left off the list at this point.

Ward and Jones are not the only ones, however. Here are six total Browns who deserve more love amongst the rest of the nation and their peers.

WR Amari Cooper

A beacon of consistency, Amari Cooper will never let you down. While his numbers are down a bit this year due to the unsteady and unpredictable quarterback play the Browns have put on the field, Cooper deserves another Pro Bowl appearance.

Rookie right tackle Dawand Jones has garnered a heap of love from analysts around the nation. He, however, has not gotten as mich love from voters as he is not on the list of top-10 offensive tackles in Pro Bowl votes.

Wyatt Teller is playing the best football of his career, and that is saying something as there has been some excellent football in his past. And yet he is not in the top-10 of votes among NFL offensive guards.

C Ethan Pocic

Not in the top-10 of center votes, there are not five better centers in the NFL than Ethan Pocic. He has lived up to the contract extension after his breakout campaign a year ago.

LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

He is explosive, and dynamic, has experienced a breakout season, and is near the top of the league in tackles for loss. What more could the NFL want out of Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah to give him the respect he deserves?

CB Denzel Ward

He has missed just two games this season, and the Cleveland defense has suffered mightily in both of those games. Denzel Ward has been a beacon of security this season for the Browns, and there are not more than three cornerbacks in all of football playing better football than him.

Get Ward to the Pro Bowl.
