5yo boy dies after being hit by truck driven by relative in Sydney's south-west

A five-year-old boy has died after being hit by a truck being driven by a relative in Sydney's south-west.

Just after 5:00pm on Friday, emergency services were called to a trucking transport yard on Argyle Street in Picton.

A boy was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he later died.

The driver, a 38-year-old man was uninjured.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing.

Police say the man is a family member of the boy.

A crime scene has been established and police are investigating the crash.
