£5m facelift for Solihull office block

A Solihull office block has undergone a £5m refurbishment.

IM Properties has renovated the 53,882 sq ft 1 Blythe Gate, on Blythe Valley Park, near junction four of the M42.

Among the work was the creation of a triple-height reception, smart lighting system and electric vehicle charging points in the 251-space car park.

Rob Hemus, asset director at IM Properties, said: "A key focus of this project from day one has been the creation of a quality outside space, which provides room for outside breakout areas, client entertaining and agile working."

Next year a new neighbourhood centre with retail units is being developed to benefit the offices, commercial and residential elements of Blythe Valley Park which are in the pipeline.
