55-year-old advocate injured after assault in Jaipur

JAIPUR: A 55-year-old advocate sustained multiple injuries after several people held him captive in Murlipura and thrashed him late on Sunday night.

As per the police, advocate Sanjay Gill practises at the high court and lives in Lal Kothi. On Sunday night, three men called him to come to Murlipura for legal advice.

The three accused help him captive inside a room where five other suspects were already present. They thrashed Gill with sticks and pipes, resulting in multiple factures. The victim alleged in the FIR that seven of his teeth were also smashed in the assault and he was bleeding from his mouth.

The accused also robbed Rs 54,000 from him. Gill sought help from his brother and he was ferried to the SMS hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Dal Chand said that the investigation in the case is underway. He said that the accused had fled after the crime and they are on the run.

As per police, Gill has named three persons, Aman, Amit and Rakesh in his FIR.
