55 convicted drug dealers due to be sentenced together

A judge is to deal with some 55 people arrested in a crackdown on drug dealing in Bristol.

Numerous arrests were made in Operation Minimal, an Avon and Somerset Constabulary initiative which involved undercover officers targeting street suppliers earlier this year.

Three of them appeared at Bristol Crown Court for sentence today. (August 6, 2019)

Sunder Griffiths-Singh, 23, of Lena Street in Easton, pleaded guilty to three charges of supplying crack cocaine.

Trevor Pearce, 43, of Freemantle House in Dove Street, Kingsdown, pleaded guilty to supplying heroin and crack cocaine.

Layton Cafferkey, 19, of Mancroft Avenue in Lawrence Weston, pleaded guilty to supplying crack cocaine.

James Ward, prosecuting, told Judge Euan Ambrose that a raft of people charged in the operation were due before the court.

The judge adjourned all sentences in the operation pending a protracted, multiple sentencing on a date to be fixed.
