There have been a further 1,464 Covid cases confirmed in Scotland within the last 24 hours.
Figures have been published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland this afternoon as part of the national Covid-19 daily briefing.
Nationally, there are 536 patients being treated in hospital which is a spike of 22 from yesterday. There are currently 45 people with the disease being treated in ICU.
The number of newly-reported positive coronavirus cases recorded by NHS Ayrshire & Arran has risen by 85 to 23,173.
Of the new cases, 35 were from South Ayrshire and 34 were attributed to East Ayrshire. There were 20 new cases in North Ayrshire.
A total of 330,851 positive tests have now been recorded from 2.394 million tests carried out since the start of the pandemic.
According to Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, Midlothian has the highest infection rate in the country – at 470.5 as of Sunday, July 18.
The second-highest is Dundee City which has a rate of 392.4 while City of Edinburgh (353.0) has the third-highest rate.
Locally, South Ayrshire's infection rate stands at 188.3 with East Ayrshire at 168.0. North Ayrshire's is 152.9.
Currently, 19 of Scotland's 32 council regions have an infection rate below the national average of 270.6.

No deaths have been announced in the last 24 hours which means 7,800 people have passed away since March 2020.
However, data from the National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows 10,220 deaths had been registered up to Sunday, July 11 where the disease was mentioned on the death certificate.
Across the UK, the figure is 128,708 as of last night.
There are 22 patients being treated for the disease in Ayrshire hospitals, which is up one on yesterday, and fewer than five in ICUs.
Nationally, a total of 3,981,950 people have received the first dose of a Covid vaccine and 2,978,746 have received their second dose.
