BHOPAL: Only 530 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the state on Friday. It was the sixth consecutive day and seventh time in past 7 days, when less than 1,000 new cases were reported in the state.
There were 4,809 active cases in the state. Against 530 people testing positive, 889 people recovered on Friday. Two deaths (one each in Sehore and Bhopal districts) were reported in the state on Friday.
New infections were reported from 48 of the 52 districts of the state and in 18 districts cases were reported in double figures.
Top five districts where maximum cases were reported include Bhopal where 104 new cases were reported, followed by Indore where 36 new cases were reported, then 23 new cases were reported in Mandla, 21 new cases were reported in Jabalpur district, followed by 18 new cases from each of Panna and Balaghat districts.
A positivity rate of 0.7% was reported in the state. Positivity rate is the number of people testing positive out of every 100 samples tested.
A total of 67,367 samples were tested in the state. On the brighter side 889 people recovered, taking the count of those who have recovered so far from Covid-19 to 10,22,161.
