50cent, Kanye West or Joffrey? Bookies offer odds on unusual names for royal baby

Bookies have given odds of 500/1 that Meghan and Harry's baby will be named after Bristol snooker superstar Judd Trump.

Bookmakers Paddy Power have outlined the chances of the royal couple naming their firstborn something a bit less traditional than people might expect.

Other slightly unusual options for the new royal boy include Aegon (500/1), Jed (500/1) and Hodgey (100/1).

Punters fancying a flutter on some slightly more common names can opt for Martin at 25/1, Barry at 250/1 or Tyrone, also at 250/1.

Perhaps slightly unbelievably, 50cent has better odds than our Judd, at 250/1, and the chances of the baby becoming rap star Kanye West's namesake are even lower, at just 100/1. They also think that there's a 25/1 chance of the baby being named after grandmother Diana's good friend Elton John.

Fantasy-inspired names are also cropping up on the list, with Avenger Thor's name coming in at 500/1 and the Game of Thrones-inspired Joffrey also at 500/1.

Names inspired by religion also feature, with Jesus, Buddha and Ganesha all appearing at 500/1.

Paddy Power reckon the most likely choices, however, are Alexander at 7/2, Spencer at 4/1 and James, also at 4/1, with Arthur just behind at 5/1.
