Skye Wheatley has never been one to shy away from the truth — especially when it comes to her adventures (and misadventures) in the world of plastic surgery.
The former Big Brother star and influencer recently spilled all the gory details on her Nova podcast Skye & Callum, co-hosted with Love Island Australia’s Callum Hole, and let’s just say, it’s not for the faint-hearted.

In the episode, Skye casually dropped the bombshell that she’s probably spent up to half a million dollars chasing her ideal look. “Honestly, I would say all up maybe $200,000,” she told Callum about her procedures over the past six months, before admitting, “But if we’re going off my life, I’m going to say $500,000.”
Skye’s first ever boob job, post-Big Brother 2014, was done in Thailand with “the Australian companies that fly you over to Thailand because it’s cheaper”.
The discount came at a price. “That was a massive disaster. I ended up getting double bubble, so I had like a massive lump. I literally had three boobs, actually. That’s the best way to describe it.”
Callum, ever the supportive mate, chimed in: “You had three tits?… Mental!”
Since then, Skye’s gone under the knife more times than most people change hairdressers. She’s had breast revision surgery (after having her two sons), rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty (that’s eyelid surgery for those playing at home), and the latest: a canthoplasty, or “fox eye lift”, in Turkey last year.
Naturally, she found her Turkish surgeon on Instagram after chatting to some Aussie girls who’d seen him. She did her research, felt good about it, and then… woke up blind. For three days. In a Turkish hospital where no one spoke English.

“I was blind for three days. No one spoke any English,” she said, describing the whole ordeal as “horrific”.
“I had a catheter in so I couldn’t get up and walk… couldn’t walk, couldn’t move, fully blind, and I needed to vomit, and I was screaming, I’m like, ‘help! Help!’ I was pressing my buzzer, because they give you a buzzer to press if you need anything. Pressing my buzzer, non stop, I’m like oh my God, I’m gonna fucking vomit on myself, I’m screaming help. I can hear the nurses like going off in their language. Another patient’s going crazy. I’m like, oh my God, this feels like hell!” Skye recalled.
“And then my friend gets up from her room two doors down, runs in. I’m like, babe, I’m gonna vomit. I need a bucket. So she passes me a thing to vomit in. But she fully ripped her cords out and got out of bed to come save me because I was screaming help… So that was pretty traumatic.”
Despite all this, Skye’s not done. She’s planning to have her pingueculas (little eye growths) cut off next. She admits she’s always been fascinated by changing her appearance, even calling it “fucked” but also saying, “I’ve always just had an interest in tweaking. I find it so fascinating.”
She’s also pretty open about the fact that her body image struggles are real and ongoing: “I know that it’s a serious issue, and I am very open and honest about struggling with how I look, and I always have,” she said, linking her love of cosmetic procedures to her ADHD and learning difficulties.
“I feel like, maybe because of my ADHD and my learning difficulties, maybe I use my looks as like a tool, because I’m like, this is something that I can control. Like, I don’t know how to spell this word, and I don’t know how to add two plus two, but I can use makeup, and I can be creative, and I can, you know, revamp myself. And I just loved the creativity in that.”
