An armed 50-strong teenage north Dublin gang stormed another northside area last night in an ongoing local war with young residents there.
The huge and feared group, understood to be from neighbouring Ballymun, descended on Swords last night equipped with "baseball bats and knives" as part of their ongoing local northside war.
A source told Dublin Live that the Ballymun gang were going around on bikes looking for the Swords group as the minor feud took a major turn.
The source said: "There was about 50 lads who stormed the area from Ballymun.
"They were going around on bikes and were looking for certain members of the Swords group.
"These lads are all underage with most ranging between 15-18.
"Locals were running away from them because they were armed with baseball bats and knives. They meant business."
Over the weekend, as many as 60 'unmasked' teenagers in the area abused locals and caused dangerous driving conditions as Gardai were forced to increase their patrolling in the area.
A source told Dublin Live that Gardai have been receiving several calls of late in the Thornleigh and Applewood areas, especially over the weekend, about the army of teens who as well as targeting locals, "have no consideration for guidelines".
It is understood that some of the group may live here but many are coming in from other place in north Dublin and injecting terror into the area.
In July, residents here feared for their lives after exclusive footage, given to Dublin Live, was taken in a quiet estate as "100 teen group animals" terrorised locals "kicking lumps and killing each other".
