50,000 fans at Hampden shown picture of missing dad who stepped off train and disappeared

The image of a dad reported missing in Paisley was shown to football fans at Hampden Stadium last night as the search to bring him home continues.

Evan Reid was last seen getting off a train bound for Irvine at Paisley Gilmour Street around 9.30pm on Saturday evening.

The 31-year-old had been heading home from a night out in Glasgow when he suddenly disembarked the train after telling his partner that "something dodgy was happening".

CCTV recorded him on Love Street and New Inchinnan Road, but he's not been seen or heard from since by family and friends.

Evan's disappearance has been described as 'totally out of character'.

He has no connection to Paisley other than working in Linwood.

Partner Nicole Murray said they have been roaming the streets searching for Evan who had no known mental health issues and was described as being 'not that drunk' by his friends.

His image was shown to 50,000 football fans at Hampden Stadium on Tuesday in a bid to raise awareness of his disappearance.

Inspector Andy Macdonald said: "This is very out of character and concerns are growing for Evan's welfare, we want to make sure he is safe and well.

"I am appealing for anyone who has seen Evan or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us."

Evan is described as being around 5ft 8in in height and of slim build.

When last seen he was wearing a khaki green jumper, a black body warmer, dark blue jeans and grey trainers.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 4112 of Saturday, March, 25.
