The outcome of the Emperor's Cup was narrowed down to five wrestlers -- three at 11 wins and three losses -- sekiwakes Takakeisho and Mitakeumi, and No. 8 maegashira Okinoumi -- and two at 10-4 -- No. 2 maegashira Asanoyama and No. 14 maegashira Tsurugisho -- on the 14th day of the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament in Tokyo on Saturday.

Takakeisho (11-3) pushed No. 5 maegashira Ryuden (6-8) out of the ring to keep himself in the running. Fellow sekiwake Mitakeumi (11-3) thrusted down ozeki Goeido (9-5). Both sekiwake are aiming for their second title in the highest makuuchi division.

Okinoumi (11-3) forced out komusubi Endo (8-6).

Asanoyama (10-4) threw down No. 3 maegashira Tomokaze (6-8), while Tsurugisho (10-4) was defeated by No. 9 maegashira Kotoyuki (8-6). They follow the tournament leaders by one win.

In the final bout of the day, ozeki Tochinoshin (6-8) was defeated by No. 6 maegashira Myogiryu (7-5-2), failing to earn a majority of wins. As a result, he will be demoted to sekiwake in the next tourney in November.
