The Arizona Cardinals released their first depth chart of the preseason on Friday, as they are days away from their preseason opener at home against the Los Angeles Chargers. It is, of course, unofficial, as it is the preseason. And when asked about it on Saturday, coach Kliff Kingsbury emphasized the unofficial nature of it. However, we can get some information from it, even if it is unofficial.
Here it is:
What do we learn from it?
Starting center job has no favorite right now

The Cardinals list both A.Q. Shipley and Mason Cole as the first-team center. Both have gotten work with the first team in practices. We will see who gets the actual first-team reps in the preseason opener, as the starters are not expected to play much.
Kevin White is among starters

The buzz at the receiver position in recent days has been sixth-round rookie KeeSean Johnson. He has even been getting some first-team reps in practice. However, at least on paper, the former top-10 pick is still part of the first-team offense.
Hakeem Butler is behind other rookie WRs

Butler has had some great plays in camp and has been the most inconsistent of the rookie wideouts. It shows on the depth chart, as he is on the third-team offense.
A surprise at OLB

Listed on the roster as an inside linebacker, Pete Robertson is listed on the depth chart as a second-team outside linebacker. He has practiced at the position with the first team and might be a guy to watch in the weeks to come.
Chad Williams, Brandon Williams, Rudy Ford buried on depth chart

All these players, drafted under the Bruce Arians regime, appear to be on their way out. All three are at the very back of the depth chart, listed with the fourth team. Brandon Williams is on PUP and Chad Williams has been out with an injury as well.
