The Eagles picked Jalen Carter at No. 9 overall after trading up with the Bears for the No. 10 overall pick and a late-round pick in 2024.

After being selected by Philadelphia, Carter met with the local media and said all the right things about “the love of the game” and his excitement over reuniting with two former Georgia teammates.

Carter on Nakobe Dean, Jordan Davis
“It’s an exciting moment for me. Them guys were the leaders of our 2022 class (National Championship Team). If I have any questions, I know I can ask them or anyone on the team.”
Jalen Carter said he's planning to FaceTime Eagles teammates Jordan Davis and Nakobe any moment now to celebrate.
Carter also said he chopped it up yesterday with Davis. Eagles hoping the Georgia trio will be big part of defense for foreseeable future.

Carter on the love of football
Carter had this to say about his love for football.
“My love of football has been there ever since I was little. I love to win. I love to come back Monday being one of the reasons we won the game on Saturday or Sunday.”

Carter and Jason Kelce already preparing for 1 on 1s
The Eagles All-Pro center is in Kansas City and started laying the ground work for his relationship with Carter.

The Georgia All-Anerican had a disappointing Pro Day and didn’t finish his drills. Carter took fault for not being prepared.
