5 things to know about Eagles first-round pick Andre Dillard

The Philadelphia Eagles snagged their left tackle of the future during the 2019 NFL Draft, trading up to select Washington State left tackle Andre Dillard. The Athletic and tough Dillard is a stud, who should bring the same intensity and physical play that the Eagles brass employs across the offensive front.

With Dillard not being a household name for some fans, here are five things to know about the Eagles first round selection.

1. Dillard gave up 49 total pressures in 2,391 pass-blocking snaps in college, according to PFF.

2. Dillard was the second graded offensive linemen in his class by PFF

3. Dillard allowed just 13 total pressures (1 sack) on an FBS-high 722 pass-blocking snaps last season at Washington State.

4. Dillard graduated from Washington State with a degree in social science.

5. Dillard became just the first player since Ryan Leaf to attend the NFL Draft in person and was just the fourth Cougar since Leaf to be taken in the first round (Deone Bucannon, Marcus Trufant).
