5 things noticed as Sadio Mane and Leroy Sane train together after furious bust-up

Bayern Munich duo Sadio Mane and Leroy Sane have apologised to the rest of the squad after their bust-up turned physical following the defeat by Manchester City on Tuesday night.

The Geman giants were convincingly beaten in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash and now have a mountain to climb if they are to stand any chance of keeping their European hopes alive. Thomas Tuchel was appointed as manager last month and has already had to deal with some dressing-room drama.

After the 3-0 loss at the Etihad, reports started to flood in that Mane had allegedly hit Sane, with German media outlets claiming the bust-up happened in Bayern's dressing room at full-time.

It has been reported that the row was 'short' but 'loud' and was a direct result of an on-field spat between the two forwards during the closing stages of the game.

Mane came off the bench in the 69th minute, but just moments later was already arguing with Sane in full view of everyone watching, a scene that may have been particularly embarrassing for Sane in front of his former side.

The ill feeling lingered and carried on into the dressing room, with BILD reporting that tensions boiled over when Mane allegedly struck Sane in the face and injured the German international's lip as a result.

Less than 48 hours later, the pair were training together as Bayern gear up for a league clash at home to Hoffenheim.

Here is five things Mirror Football spotted from what was surely a notably awkward session for the Bayern duo.

1. No facial injuries

Neither of the players involved appeared to be sporting any injuries as a result of the scrap in what will be welcome news to Tuchel.

Sane seemed to try and hide his lip when the Bayern squad landed back in Munich on Wednesday, suggesting Mane had done some damage.

However, neither Sane nor Mane looked battered or bruised in training.

2. No communication

At least during the part of the training session that was open to the media, Mane and Sane did not talk to each other or engage in any form of communication.

Whether that means that the feud between the two of them is still quietly bubbling under the surface is unclear, but Tuchel will be desperate to restore harmony to the Bayern dressing room sooner rather than later.

3. Mane's chat with Tuchel

While the former Liverpool forward didn't speak to Sane at any point, his relationship with manager Tuchel seems to be fine.

The pair of them were spotted talking to each other at one point during the session, which in turn suggests the Bayern boss has things under control as rumours now circulate over whether the fall-out could put Mane's place at the club in doubt.

4. No hard feelings

Mane's apology was to the rest of the Bayern squad and it would seem as if the Senegal international has been forgiven.

That is at least if Benjamin Pavard's conduct is anything to go by, as the Frenchman was all smiles with Mane as the pair jogged alongside each other.

The sight of the duo walking with Pavard's arm around Mane will also be a welcome one for Tuchel, who is surely keen to avoid a full-scale dressing room division so soon into his tenure.

5. Mane's potential punishment

Though Mane has returned to training and apologised to his teammates, it is unclear whether this saga is actually over just yet.

Reports claim that those at the top of the Bayern hierarchy are mulling over potential punishments for the 31-year-old.

These could range from a standard fine to even a Bayern exit in the summer transfer window, Tuchel has plenty to think about it as he aims to get a tune out of both players involved for one last push before the season's end.
