Notion has upgraded itself, and now we have Notion 3.0. However, it’s not the regular update that we see all the time. And the biggest change that we have got with the new 3.0 is Agents, AI helpers that do real work, and not just answer the questions or make suggestions. So, in this article, I have listed 5 key things about the new Notion that no one is talking about.
1. Agents can actually finish tasks for you

Earlier, Notion AI was only able to edit a page or give a quick answer. But with the new 3.0, your Agent can autonomously handle up to 20 minutes of work across hundreds of pages at once. You can assign it a workflow, for example, compiling customer feedback from Slack, Notion, and email, and it will research, synthesize, and build structured databases on its own.
2. It’s built for teams, not just solo use
According to the company, the Agents are designed for collaboration. They understand your workflows, can update shared knowledge bases, and even help with onboarding new team members. I think it’s like having that intern who updates project trackers, drafts follow-ups, and keeps everyone on the same page without constant human supervision.
3. Deeper Personalization

Interestingly, each Agent is backed by a memory bank in a Notion page where you can set instructions on how it should triage tasks, format responses, and reference key information. This means that the more you use it, the more tailored it becomes to your way of working. Notion also allows you to give it a name, customize its style, and download templates for specialized skills.
4. Real Workflows
With Notion 3.0, Agents can transform meeting notes into proposals, keep their knowledge base updated, or create onboarding plans automatically. For personal use, they can even track hobbies like building a coffee database or managing a movie watchlist.
5. A whole team of AI specialists
The company has also confirmed that custom agents will soon allow you to run multiple AI “teammates” on schedules or triggers. It will allow you to compile daily feedback, another could post weekly updates, and another could triage IT requests.
That’s all about Notion 3.0 for now. But according to the company, this is just the start, as the company is already working on more features and encourages users to give feedback.
