5 teens charged with stealing from Zara in the Loop

Five men are charged with stealing property from a Zara clothing store in the Loop.

The men, all 18 or 19, entered a commercial business about 11:30 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of North State Street and fled on foot with stolen property, Chicago police said.

They were arrested nearby and each charged with a single felony count of stealing more than $300 worth of merchandise, police said.

A police source said the men had stolen from Zara in the Block 37 building.

The men charged are:

  • Denzel Moore, 19, arrested in the 100 block of North Franklin Street;
  • Dwayne Parker, 19, arrested 100 block North La Salle Street;
  • Dushawn Stallworth, 18, arrested 100 block North La Salle Street;
  • Davarious Sykes, 18, arrested in the first block West Calhoun Place; and
  • Malik Winding, 19, arrested in the 100 block North La Salle Street.

Parker was also wanted on a warrant, police said. All five are due in court on Tuesday.
