HOUSTON — The Houston Texans held their eighth day of training camp at the Houston Methodist Training Center. For the second day in a row, Deshaun Watson was not on the field as a result of an apparent foot injury.
The relationship between Watson and the Texans remains abnormal. But offensive coordinator Tim Kelly says Watson has been “very helpful” in the quarterbacks group behind closed doors.
“He [Deshaun Watson] has been a great asset for us in the room with some of the stuff we have done, and how he sees it,” Kelly said following Wednesday’s practice. “It’s been great. He has been helpful to those players, and we are doing a good job keeping him engaged.”
Here are five observations from the seventh Texans practice on the eighth day of training camp.
