The Tennessee Titans reported for the fourth day of training camp on Monday morning to mark the second consecutive practice in pads.
The practice was closed to the public, with the next one open to fans being held on Wednesday at 9:50 a.m. CT.
Here a five takeaways from Monday’s practice.
1.Nate Davis gets first-team work.
The rookie was drafted in April to help remedy the Titans’ recent woes within the offensive line, and it looks like he’s on the right path to do just that. Davis worked at right guard throughout the practice alongside left tackle Dennis Kelly, left guard Rodger Saffold, center Ben Jones and right tackle Jack Conklin.
2. The team was missing a few faces.
The Titans were near perfect attendance, with the exception of wide receiver A.J. Brown, running back Derrick Henry and defensive lineman Amani Bledsoe.
Bledsoe has been absent from practice since leaving on Saturday, while Henry is in a walking boot and Brown remains sidelined as well.
3. It’s still unclear who will be functioning as a punt returner.

The Titans have quite a few names fielding punts throughout training camp as they weigh their options. Adam Humphries, Cameron Batson, Joseph Parker and Adoree’ Jackson were each fielding punts over a special teams period.
4. There’s action at fullback.

A newly signed Ryan Hewitt, who previously played for the Cincinatti Bengals and Indianapolis Colts has been seeing action at fullback. There’s also a plan in place for running back David Fluellen to function in a fullback role this season, and he’s bulked up appropriately for it.
5. Players who have impressed, continue to impress.

The Titans have valued continuity all offseason as they prepare for 2019, and we’re seeing it early on. We noted after Day 3 that running back Alex Barnes was making a name for himself after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent this year — and he’s continuing to progress.
Here’s what team writer Jim Wyatt had to say of Barnes’ performance on Monday.
“Alex Barnes is taking advantage of his opportunities,” he wrote. “He got his teammates jacked up by showing some toughness in a 1-on-1 drill at the start of practice, when he proved tough to tackle.”
Wide receiver Corey Davis is another player who has been hot lately, and he had another good showing on Day 4.
One of his best plays of the day came as a one-handed reception in a team drill.
