Ohio State has been mentioned by many as DBU in recent years because of all the defensive backs taken in the NFL draft and still succeeding today.
There’s no doubt the latest Buckeye target has taken note of that and decided that Ohio State is worth taking a look at. Five-Star safety Lathan Ransom released his final five schools this week and — you guessed it — OSU has made the cut.
The other four schools included in his Twitter announcement are Oklahoma, LSU, Notre Dame, and Texas. The board is all over the place as to what school Ransom is leaning too, so it’s still anybody’s guess where he ends up.
At 6-0, 200 lbs., 247Sports has the Arizona native as the No. 5 safety and No. 72 overall recruit in the class of 2020.
There does not appear to be an available timetable for an announcement, but as anything further becomes available, we’ll let you know here at Buckeyes Wire.
