5 Seconds of Summer are coming to Newcastle as part of their No Shame 2020 Tour.

The tour coincides with the release of the band's fourth studio album, CALM, and will stop off at the University of Newcastle's Bar on the Hill on December 2 for an all-ages, outdoor gig.

The Sydney pop-rock band, who now call LA home, has just announced tours of North America, the UK and Europe. They also played at Sunday's Fire Fight Australia concert at ANZ Stadium in Sydney to an audience of close to 80,000.

Luke Hemmings (voclas/guitar), Michael Clifford (vocals/guitar), Calum Hood (vocals/bass) and Ashton Irwin (vocals/drums) originally found fame by posting videos of themselves covering songs on YouTube.

They toured with One Direction on their Take Me Home Tour at the peak of their popularity, and have since released three studio albums and headlined three world tours.

No Shame is the first single from the band's soon-to-be-released fourth studio album CALM. It follows on from their 2014 self-titled debut, 2015's Sounds Good Feels Good and 2018's Youngblood - all of which debuted at No.1 on the both the ARIA Album Chart and Billboard 200.

Their most recent Australian tour dates, 2018's Meet You There Tour and 2019's Friends of Friends special event, saw the band team up with Amy Shark and Genesis Owusu to raise money for Blacktown Youth Services Association.

To date, 5 Seconds of Summer has sold in excess of 2 million concert tickets worldwide and more than 8 million equivalent album units, and have been streamed more than 7 billion times.

They have won an American Music Award, a People's Choice Award, two iHeartRadio Music Awards, eight MTV European Music Awards, five ARIA Awards, two APRA and two MTV Video Music Awards.

CALM is released on March 27 via Interscope/EMI Music Australia and is available to pre-order now.

5 Seconds of Summer bring their No Shame 2020 Tour to Bar On The Hill on Wednesday, December 2. Tickets go on sale at 1pm on Friday, February 21.

My Live Nation members purchase tickets during a pre-sale beginning at noon on Wednesday, February 19.
