With another week of the offseason in the books, it is time to take a look around the NFC West and see what is new with the division rivals of the Arizona Cardinals. How about the Seattle Seahawks? What has been going on for the last week?
Here are the stories Cardinals fans should know about.
Russell Wilson wants to play a long, long time

Wilson is 30 years old but has a new contract that takes him through 2023, when he will obviously be 34. However, he is planning on playing much longer and sounds like Tom Brady. He plans on playing another 10-15 years, with playing till he is 45 as his goal. That could be another 30 games the Cardinals have to face him.
Tyler Lockett will do more than play in slot

Receiver Tyler Lockett was believed to be the guy who would replace Doug Baldwin in the slot in the Seahawks offense. That might not always be the case, as offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer plans on moving him around, making him more difficult to plan for.
Rookie DK Metcalf exceeding expectations

Metcalf was expected to be drafted much higher than he was. However, there were questions about his ability to learn complex routes. He is . and has a chance to be the team’s No. 2 WR. He is playing multiple positions in the offseason.
CB Shaquill Griffin seeking elite status

Griffin, the Seahawks’ No. 1 cornerback believes he was only average in 2018. He believes that is not acceptable as the team’s No. 1 guy. After feeling the pressure last year of replacing Richard Sherman, he now expects to become an elite cornerback in his third NFL season.
Final draft pick under contract

The Cardinals have had all 11 of their draft picks signed for weeks. The Seahawks just recently got their draft class all under contract. The final pick to get signed by Seattle is third-round linebacker Cody Barton. Seattle, like Arizona, had 11 draft picks.
