With another week over, it is time to take a look around the NFC West to see what has been going on with the Arizona Cardinals’ division rivals. Next up are the Los Angeles Rams.

Training camp start announced

The NFL announced the report dates for training camp for all teams. The Arizona Cardinals announced their practice schedule but the Rams have not yet done so. They will, though, begin practicing on July 27. Rookies report on the 24th and veterans on the 26th.

Rams fans ranked last

The Rams were the best of the NFC and made it to the Super Bowl. However, their fan base does not stack up against the rest of the league. According to a new study ranking the different fans from different teams in the NFL, Rams fans came in dead last. The Cardinals beat the Rams in something!

Wade Phillips impressed by Clay Matthews

A major addition to the Rams defense is Clay Matthews at outside linebacker. He spent a decade with the Green Bay Packers and is not young. However, his defensive coordinator, Wade Phillips, doesn’t believe he has lost a step. He praised Matthews for his athleticism and movement skills.

Chris Long says he knew Aaron Donald would be Hall of Famer right away

Aaron Donald is well on his way to a Hall of Fame career. He is arguably the best defensive player in football. Former teammate Chris Long claims he knew it from the start, joking with his teammates that Donald, as a rookie, would be a Hall of Famer. “I think we used to joke his rookie camp that he was going to be in the Hall of Fame, but I kind of wasn’t joking,” he said.

OL Aaron Neary suspended

The Cardinals must deal with six weeks without cornerback Patrick Peterson. The Rams have a four-game suspension to deal with, as offensive lineman Aaron Neary got pegged with one after a DUI arrest. However, his suspension isn’t as big a thing. He might not even make the roster.
