The week has come and gone and it is time again to check in with the rest of the NFC West to see what the division rivals of the Arizona Cardinals are doing. Next up is a look at the last week of the Los Angeles Rams.
Here are the stories Cardinals fans should know about from last week.
Todd Gurley’s usage reportedly going to go down

Gurley had been a beats the last couple of seasons, but an injury slowed him late last season. A new report has come out that he might no longer be an every-down back for the Rams, a big reason why they likely drafted running back Darrell Henderson.
Rams still expected to use 3-WR sets on offense

The Rams used 11-personnel a ton last season. While coach Sean McVay says the team is finding places and players to fit together offensively, he still expects to primarily use one back, three wideouts and one tight end on offense.
Aqib Talib reacts to new defensive teammates

The Rams added veterans on defense like Eric Weddle and Clay Matthews. They added rookies Taylor Rapp and David Long. Veteran cornerback Aqib Talib spoke about each player and has been impressed so far.
‘Special’ defense for Rams in 2019?

The Rams were very good last season but faltered a bit on defense, despite having Aaron Donald. However, they have added some veterans who should improve things.
Donald is excited and believes the defense won’t be just good, but special.
We will see.
Rams the most complete team in the league?

The Rams ended up being the league’s runners-up in 2018, falling to the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. They hope to make it back and they still have a lot of talent. They have added pieces on defense, although they have lost some of their very good offensive line.
However, one analyst called the Rams the most complete team in the league.
Could that be the case? If so, it will be hard for the Cardinals to compete in the NFC West.
