5 Prop Bets We Like in Thursday’s NHL Stanley Cup Final Game 4

After two incredibly close games in Edmonton, Game 3 was a lopsided win for the Florida Panthers. The Oilers look to get back on track and even the series in Game 4, so look for them to bring their best game. If you want to get in on the betting action, here are 5 prop bets worth taking a look at for Game 4.

Connor McDavid to Score At Least 1 Goal (+140)

McDavid always shines when the moments are the biggest. If you watched the 4 Nations Championship game, you know. Draisaitl is a better bet to score in Game 4, but look for McDavid to produce some magic in a critical game for the Oilers.

Thus far in the playoffs, McDavid has six goals and 31 points. Granted, that’s pretty assist-heavy. He doesn’t have a goal yet in the Stanley Cup Final. I like McDavid’s odds of righting that wrong in Game 4.

Sam Reinhart to Have At Least 3 Shots on Goal (-139)

You’re not getting great odds here, but Reinhart has had at least three shots on goal in each of the first three games. Barkov and Tkachuk get the bulk of the betting attention for the Panthers. However, Reinhart is always in the middle of the offense. Edmonton has shown they will take undisciplined penalties, so look for Reinhart to get good power-play time.

Be cautious about a goals prop for Reinhart, though. Despite all the shots, he only has one goal in three games. That came in the Game 3 rout, where seemingly everyone scored for Florida.

Stuart Skinner Under 26.5 Saves (-120)

Skinner had a bad night in Game 3. Most goals weren’t his fault, but the red light went on regardless. I’m betting on Edmonton controlling the play more in Game 4 with a greater focus on defense. Look at this in one of two ways: if Skinner has less than 27 saves, it means that the Oilers played great, or that Skinner had another short night. Either way, this prop bet is a good call.

Aleksander Barkov Under 0.5 Goals (-209)

Barkov is the Florida Panthers’ captain and a great leader on the ice. That said, he hasn’t tallied a single point in the first three games. Whether it’s due to a cold streak or the Oilers’ good defense, the offense is coming from other players.

The odds aren’t your friend with this bet, so know that the return on investment isn’t great. If I had to rank these props from highest to lowest confidence, this would be the lowest.

Viktor Arvidsson Under 1.5 Shots on Goal (-155)

Many people like to remember Arvidsson’s 60-point days. He’s just not that player anymore. In today’s NHL, he’s wildly inconsistent on offense for the Oilers. He would’ve finished with the under on this bet in two of the first three games in the series. In Game 4, look for that to continue as the big names try to take over.
