5 Predictions For The Real Housewives Of London ‘Cos You Know The Tea Will Be Piping Hot
We’ve only been given the tiniest sneak peek of The Real Housewives of London, and yet the claws are already out.
My personal highlight? The “London Bridge Is Falling Down” nursery rhyme in the trailer as the housewives skipped around, Ring Around the Rosie style. Chef’s kiss editing team, chef’s kiss.
If you ask me, it’s high time The Real Housewives universe was set in London. I’m sure King Charles would approve.
So, put your scones in the oven, whip up some cream, and meet this season’s housewives. There’s six this time ‘round: Juliet Mayhew (won Miss Galaxy Universe), Juliet Angus (former Ladies of London), entrepreneur Amanda Cronin, Karen Loderick-Peace (former The Real Housewives of Jersey), chef Nessie Welschinger, and of course, our queen (and socialite) Panthea Parker.
Basically, all the different personalities = all the drama. I’m sat.
Counting down the days until RHOLDN is released exclusively on Hayu (AKA the home of reality TV) on August 18? I’ve taken the liberty of putting together my juiciest predictions in anticipation. Let’s dive in, shall we?

1. There will be a cast bonding trip that ends in a screaming match
It wouldn’t be The Real Housewives without the girls going on a wholesome trip to make amends, only to end up in an even bigger argument. The kicker? We eat it up every single time.
Which housewives are flying together on the private jet? Who ISN’T invited and has to drive? How long until a screaming match breaks out at dinner?
From the looks of the trailer, it doesn’t take that long on their trip to Scotland.
“You’ll both be leaving the castle if this [behaviour] continues,” said Juliet. You tell ‘em, Aussie queen.

2. Someone will be connected to the royal family.
Okay, this one’s a doozy. With the show being set in London, there has to be a plotline about the royals. I’m fairly certain I’m on the money with this one, as at 1:33 in the trailer, we get this juicy tidbit.
Panthea and her husband Ed Parker are in a limousine, and Ed says, and I QUOTE, “Okay, my darling, off to the palace.”
Looks like chivalry isn’t dead after all.

3. A feud will begin over something ridiculous and be mentioned every five seconds
Whether it’s not being invited to a dog wedding in The Real Housewives of New York City, or throwing away cookies in The Real Housewives of New Jersey — I do love a ridiculous feud. I especially love it when it’s brought up at a dinner party and builds into an explosive reunion episode.

My question is, what will The Real Housewives of London’s silly feud be? My bet is on when Amanda says, “We were not best friends.” Ouch.
That took me straight back to high school, and I’m not happy about it.
4. A friend of one of the housewives will cause even more drama
Speaking of feuds, I reckon it’s most likely going to come from a friend of one of the housewives. It’s just juicer that way.
Whether it’s Barbara Kavovit from The Real Housewives of New York or Faye Resneck from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the show reminds us of one thing and one thing only: keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.
We’re in for a treat, as from the RHOLDN trailer we can already see that Juliet’s bestie Caroline Stanbury from The Real Housewives Of Dubai and Amanda’s pal Dorinda Medley from The Real Housewives Of New York will make an appearance.

5. Niche British insults will be thrown around that us Aussies won’t understand, but will still adopt
And finally, we had to include the niche insults. If I’m being real, that’s what makes The Real Housewives so great. Just call me Mr. Worldwide at this point.
My personal fave is the “back to Paddington” phrase that Amanda keeps on repeating. I live in Paddington, Sydney — does that count? (Probably not, but a girl can dream.)
As a parting note, let me leave you with my favourite quote from the RHOLDN trailer: “What happened to the caviar?” I don’t know, but I’m sure as heck keen to find out.
