At least five people could be left homeless after a fire Thursday in Lawndale on the West Side.
About 12:20 a.m., fire crews responded to a call in the 1600 block of South Komensky Avenue and found the back porch of a 2.5-story house on fire, Chicago fire officials said.
No one was injured in the blaze, but fire officials believe that at least five people could be displaced.
The fire was extinguished after about an hour, officials said.
No further information was immediately available.
