5 plays that prove Henry Ruggs’ blazing 40 speed wasn’t a fluke

There are some players at the NFL combine who put up absurd numbers and then end up being labeled as “workout warriors” who never live up to the hype.

Then there are those who back up the numbers with actual playmaking.

And although we don’t know where he’ll be drafted or have a crystal ball to show what will happen to Henry Ruggs III — the wideout from Alabama — you just have to look at the tape and see that the athleticism he’s shown in Indianapolis translates really, really well to the “speed kills” NFL.

By the way, it’s not just speed for Ruggs, who ran the 40 in 4.27 seconds. He had a 42-inch vertical jump and a 131-inch broad jump. Wild.
