BIJNOR: At least five people died and two others sustained injuries in two separate accidents in Bijnor district on Thursday late night. In the first accident, three people were killed and two injured when their car rammed into a tree. The accident occurred on Jaleelpur road under Bijnor’s Chandpur police station area.
Jitendra (41), Mishri (40) and Vipin (38), all residents of Amroha district, died while Vijaypal and Samarpal suffered injuries, police said. They claimed that they met with the accident due to an unattended cattle straying on the road. They tried to save it and lost control of the car. In the second accident, two bike riders identified as Aasif (40) and Rishal Ahmed (39) from Sherkot town died when a speeding car hit their bike at Bhootpuri village.
