Five people, including three children, were injured Tuesday in a vehicle crash in Lawndale on the West Side.

A Honda Civic was westbound about 4 p.m. in the 3400 block of West Ogden Avenue when it tried making a left turn on Homan Avenue, Chicago police said. It struck a Chevy Equinox traveling Eastbound on Ogden.

Two girls, 17 and 15, along with a 14-year-old boy who were in the Honda were taken to Stroger with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said. A 79-year-old man and a 74-year-old woman in the Chevy were taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital with injuries that were also not life-threatening.

The driver of the Honda was cited for driving without driver’s license and driving without insurance.
