5 free agents that could help the Eagles after the 2019 NFL Draft

The Eagles went into the NFL Draft with a stacked roster and no real holes to fill along both sides of the ball. Howie Roseman focused on getting Carson Wentz more weapons and protection, but the Birds finished the draft weekend without addressing the linebacker or safety positions. The Eagles loaded up on offense with four of their five picks and then added solid linebackers as undrafted free agents. The NFL Draft is over, but there are still some pretty good free agents on the open market, who could help the Eagles is the situation is right.

With more than $25 million in cap space remaining, here are five free agents the Eagles could consider adding to the roster post draft.

John Sullivan–Center

The longtime NFL center would provide Jason Kelce with a decent backup who has some NFL experience.

Jamie Collins–LB

Talented, yet undisciplined, Collins would fit the bill if the Eagles are looking for a starter, but it’s uncertain his freestyling would mesh with the locker room.

Peterson has familiarity from his time in Kansas City, and with no pressure for Berry to be a starter, he could be a valuable addition later in the summer.

Darren Sproles

The Eagles love Sproles, he may want to go out on his own terms and not an injury-plagued season where he provided the Birds nothing of value. Sproles still has excellent value in the return game and could be an option.

Zach Brown–LB

Brown played college football at the University of North Carolina and was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Over the last two seasons, Brown started 25 games for Washington, totaling 223 tackles and is pretty productive in passing situations.
