The Philadelphia Eagles completed their offseason program this week with a three-day mandatory minicamp. The team with Super Bowl aspirations had several standouts during the week of practices, including tight end Dallas Goedert and cornerback Avonte Maddox. On the flip side, guys like Clayton Thorson and Wendell Smallwood have left a lot to be desired.
With training camp less than two months away, here are five Eagles whose stock is down after the mandatory minicamp.
Wendell Smallwood
Sometimes it’s simply out of sight/out of mind, and with the revolving door of running backs at the Nova Care Complex and the ascension of Boston Scott, Smallwood could be on the Eagles roster bubble. Smallwood is well liked, but he’s simply reached his potential in a birds uniform.

Shelton Gibson
For Gibson, just refer back to Wendell Smallwood. As JJ Arcega-Whiteside and DeSean Jackson star in their roles, Gibson quietly goes about his day with no defined role or splashy plays to help his cause. Gibson didn’t have a better camp than Marken Michel and could lose his roster spot to Mack Hollins.

Clayton Thorson
The Eagles fifth-round pick had no immediate pressure on him, yet struggled early and often this spring. Thorson will likely make the team ahead of Kessler because of his draft status, but he has to improve and bring some kind of wow factor with him to camp, or risk being cut.

Miles Sanders
OTA and offseason workouts aren’t always a factor in determining a players upside, but after riding a wave of hype following his selection in the second round, Sanders has been out of action while dealing with a hamstring injury.
Hamstrings can be a nagging injury and its imperative for Sanders to be ready to go for Eagles training camp.

Jalen Mills
Mills did not participate in spring practices, and foot injuries are never something that a player wants to recover from. With Avonte Maddox looking all-world at times and the Eagles invested in Sidney Jones, Mills could be the odd man out or dealt if he’s not careful.
