The Philadelphia Eagles have officially been practicing for seven days now, and a few names have risen to the top in regards to certain position battles. There are still preseason games to be played and highly intense practices to come, but after seven days, here are the five Eagles whose stock is down after the first week of camp.
Braxton Miller
Miller was the two-time Big-10 Offensive Player of the Year at one time in career, but now he’s just another wide receiver battling for a roster spot with the Eagles. Miller is losing ground to Greg Ward and the emerging Marken Michel, who is no longer an under the radar player. He’ll have to start making plays and getting himself noticed or risk another season on the practice squad.

Josh Hawkins
Hawkins is guilty of not knowing who his owner is, but more importantly, he’s playing the cornerback position and he’s currently sitting behind some pretty big names. Hawkins gives up to many deep balls and with Orlando Scandrick in the fold, his days could be numbered.

Jalen Mills
Out of sight and out of mind, Mills could find himself caught up in a numbers game. Add in his value on the trade market, and Mills could be a candidate to go. With each day that Mills misses and Rasul Douglas flourishes, Howie Roseman has the chance to assess a huge deal before the start of the regular season.

Clayton Thorson
Thorson has been surpassed on the depth chart by Cody Kessler and the fifth-round draft pick is in jeopardy of being on the practice squad or getting outright released.

Shelton Gibson:
Gibson and Mack Hollins are guys that have to start making plays or their Eagles career could be over. Gibson hasn’t developed into the deep threat the Eagles thought he’d be and with DeSean Jackson back in the fold, that need is no longer pertinent. Gibson has to make his presence known on special teams or risk being cut.
