The Baltimore Ravens will test themselves against one of the best teams in the NFC when they take on the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7. After struggling the last few weeks to pick up wins, Baltimore will try to put together a statement game and prove they belong in the conversation as a Super Bowl contender. But it might not be that easy.
The writers here at Ravens Wire have looked at the matchup and have a few bold predictions. While most of these are pretty outlandish and shouldn’t be expected, all five bold predictions are perfectly possible.
Let’s see what everyone thinks will happen this week.
Matthew Stevens:
Lamar Jackson has four turnovers

The Ravens’ passing offense has struggled more and more with each week. Going up against a Seahawks’ defense that is fourth in takeaways right now, that points to disaster looming on the horizon. Jackson has begun to stare down receivers and force the ball to his favorite targets, something Seattle has undoubtedly picked up on and will be waiting for. And while Jackson has been better about ball security when running, I’m predicting a hard-hitting Seahawks defense is able to dislodge a few balls en route to forcing Baltimore’s quarterback into a four-turnover day.
It’s simply a hiccup in what has been a pretty amazing year for Jackson but he’s kinda due for one of these this season.
Neil Dutton:
Miles Boykin has 100 receiving yards

In a coming-out party, rookie wide receiver Miles Boykin will make the most of extended opportunities against a far from imposing Seahawks secondary. He’ll post his first career 100yard game, as well as scoring a touchdown.
Wola Odeniran:
Ravens defense forces four interceptions

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is off to the best regular-season start of his career. So far in 2019, he has 14 touchdown throws and zero interceptions. It’s not like he is doing it with a Pro Bowl cast of wide receivers and tight ends either.
But I will be bold this week and say Baltimore’s secondary, which has shown major inconsistencies this season, will show up with the addition of cornerback Marcus Peters and haul in four interceptions. With free safety Earl Thomas obviously being familiar with the Seahawks, I expect his experience to play a large role in this game.
Alex Bente:
Lamar Jackson throws for 300-plus yards and three touchdowns

Lamar Jackson will come out guns blazing in an attempt to outshine Russell Wilson. In an “anything you can do, I can do better” type showdown, Jackson will have one of his best games yet as a passer, finding his tight ends and receivers for big plays and touchdowns throughout the game.
Kevin Oestreicher:
Marcus Peters gets his first interception as a Raven

Peters has been the talk of the town all week after the Ravens acquired him from the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for linebacker Kenny Young and a fifth-round pick. He’s a ball-hawking cornerback who can change the game in one play. I expect Peters to be great in Baltimore and that starts Sunday in Seattle when he notches his first career interception against Russell Wilson.
