The former Rangers chairman claimed three years ago that Celtic would eventually fold like a pack of cards. King reckons Celtic became complacent when Rangers were plunged to their nadir and having to restart in the bottom tier of the game after liquidation in 2012 and it was only a matter of time until the revival. Having been a key figure in the rise from away days at Elgin and Brechin, the majority of Rangers fans would like to see his merits recognised with a statue outside Ibrox.

James Tavernier, Ryan Kent and Glen Kamara have all been standouts so far this season and will surely have plenty of suitors come the summer transfer window. With big money being paid out every year to guarantee a seat among the 50,000 in Govan, is it a commitment fans will make again with it appearing unlikely they will be allowed back in the near future? Well, yes. A whopping 89 per cent of punters polled are planning to renew their ticket for the 2021-22 campaign.
