The Baltimore Ravens will get a chance to prove their dominance over the AFC North as they look to claim the division crown for the second-straight season. First up on the docket are the Cleveland Browns in Week 4.
To help get you started off right, we’re once again back with some bold predictions. The writers at Ravens Wire have put together some outlandish predictions that are still realistic for the Ravens vs. Browns.
Matthew Stevens:
Marquise Brown finds the end zone three times

Cleveland has a banged-up secondary which normally wouldn’t be a huge problem against previous Baltimore offenses. But this time around, the Ravens have things clicking relatively well and have some serious weapons on offense, namely rookie wide receiver Marquise Brown. Brown had a great start to his season, turning in a two-touchdown game in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins. With Cleveland’s secondary still limping along, Brown should be able to torch defenders on the way to the end zone three separate times.
Alex Bente:
Ravens get their defense back on track by notching 3 interceptions from Mayfield

The Raven’s secondary has been a subject of scrutiny the last 2 weeks, but with Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield struggling under pressure this season, the Ravens take full advantage of his wayward throws. Defensive coordinator Don Martindale will find a way to keep the pressure high on Mayfield, allowing safety Earl Thomas and a (hopefully) healthy cornerback Marlon Humphrey to remind the league who’s leading the Ravens’ secondary.
Chuck Mills:
Willie Snead and Miles Boykin assert their presence

Aside from each receiver catching a touchdown pass in the Ravens’ Week 1 victory against the Miami Dolphins, neither of them have made much of a contribution in recent week. Marquise Brown and the tight ends have been the main focus and have made plays in the receiving game. This week, both Snead and Boykin will end their silence. Each receiver will have no fewer than four catches and both of them will score a touchdown on Sunday.

Gus Edwards has two touchdowns

Mark Ingram has been the Ravens “workhorse” back so far, notching 16 carries and three touchdowns last week, but I think that it’s Gus Edwards that reaches the end zone for Baltimore this week, and I think he does it twice. Edwards found room to run against the Kansas City defense, showing poise and even a bit of receiving ability out of the backfield. I think this is the game where Gus “the Bus” truly shines

Two defensive scores for the Ravens

The Browns offense has misfired for pretty much the whole season to this point, and the Ravens don’t let them off easy here. An errant Baker Mayfield pass is returned for a pick-six, while a late fumble by running back Nick Chubb is similarly taken to the house by the Ravens.
