As reported by The Associated Press, McDonald’s is cutting some combo meal prices to get back customers who’ve been put off by rising prices. McDonald’s is certainly not the only fast food restaurant seeing pricing issues.

“As a financial advisor, I can’t help but look at even fast food through the lens of value,” said Shanli Liu, founder of FreedomFolio. “For many people, grabbing a meal on-the-go isn’t just about convenience, it’s also about getting the most for your money.”
According to Liu, over the years, she’s noticed that McDonald’s has consistently offered some of the best “solo diner” deals in the fast food space. She’s heard from clients who rely on them during busy workdays.
Liu said the trick is knowing which options give you the right balance of portion size, taste and price.
$5 McChicken Meal Deal
If you really want a good deal at McDonald’s, many financial experts suggest you use the restaurant’s app. You can usually find bargains there that you won’t find in the store.
One meal deal to try is the $5 McChicken Meal Deal. In many markets, this is the only $5 meal deal that remains. You can score a sandwich, fries, nuggets, and a drink.

$5.50 McDouble Meal Deal
Here’s another meal deal from the app. For just a bit more than the McChicken option, you can have a McDouble, fries, nuggets, and a drink.
$6 Daily Double Meal Deal
The third meal deal option is a Daily Double one for $6. Again, you can have a sandwich, fries, nuggets, and drink without breaking the food budget.
Build-Your-Own BOGO
Along with the meal deals, the McValue Menu on the app includes an option to buy one, add one for $1 with a few items. So, for instance, you could get a double cheeseburger, a McChicken and then add a small fry to have a meal for one.
2 Cheeseburger Meal
You aren’t going to find many full-meal options for under $8 at McDonald’s anymore. You can still snag the meal option with two cheeseburgers for under $8 in many markets.
