We have reached the end of another week of the offseason and so we take a look around the NFC West to see what has been going on with the Arizona Cardinals’ division rivals. What is new with the San Francisco 49ers?
Here are the stories from the last week for Cardinals fans to know about.
Niners, Gould get a deal done

It took right down to the deadline, but kicker Robbie Gould got a long-term contract done with the 49ers. The Niners had him under the franchise tag and he did not show up for any offseason work. He wanted to be closer to home but got enough from the 49ers to be happy to stay.
The deal is four years and worth $19 million but the key part is having the first two years fully guaranteed at $10.5 million.
The Cardinals will have to face Gould twice a year for at least the next two years, it seems.
Bosa favorite to win Defensive Rookie of the Year

Cardinals fans should know all about the potential of Nick Bosa, as he was one of the players considered for the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. He went second overall to the 49ers and is the odds-on favorite to be the Defensive Rookie of the Year. That should surprise no one.
Deebo Samuel has best odds among WRs for Offensive Rookie of the Year

The Cardinals have the favorite to be the league’s Offensive Rookie of the Year in QB Kyler Murray. However, it might surprise you to know that among rookie receivers, 49ers WR Deebo Samuel has the best odds to win it.
28 locks for the 49ers roster

Since the Cardinals will face the 49ers twice this season, as they do every season, it would be good know who will be on their roster. While training camp has yet to begin, there are 28 players who are absolute locks for their roster.
Niners have talent and scheme to win division

The 49ers are not likely going to win the NFC West while the Rams and Seahawks are still the favorites. However, based on what analyst Brian Baldinger says, talent and scheme are not the problem. They have that and need the effort to be winners.
