Police are warning businesses about a fourth smash-and-grab burglary that they believe is related to a string of other cellphone store break-ins that happened across Chicago Friday night.

In each case, the suspects used a brick or other blunt instrument to smash the glass in the front doors or windows of cellphone stores, according to a business alert issued Saturday by Chicago police. They then stole property from within.

The previously reported burglaries happened at 9:28 p.m. in the 5700 block of West Belmont Avenue and 9:45 p.m. in the 3900 block of North Kimball Avenue, police said.

The newest burglary occurred at 10:54 p.m. in the 2700 block of North Clark Street in Lincoln Park.

The suspects in these three cases were described as four males wearing white masks, according to police. Three of them stood between 5-foot-6 and 6 feet tall, weighed 180 to 200 pounds and wore hoodies. Two of those wore black hoodies, while the third wore a gray hoodie.

They were seen driving a black, four-door Porsche Panamera, police said.

Another similar burglary was reported about 10:15 p.m. Friday at an AT&T store in the first block of South Halsted Street in Greektown, according to police. A police source said that break-in did not appear to be related to the others.

Anyone with information is asked to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8263.
