The 49ers managed to get their starters through the first quarter without any major injuries. However, safety Adrian Colbert suffered a hamstring injury and is questionable to return.
That’s a brutal break for Colbert who played just seven snaps in the preseason opener before getting ejected for a late hit. He was in the conversation to earn a starting job, but it looks like his action in the second preseason contest will be limited as well. The 49ers haven’t been in the business of rushing players back from injury.
