The 49ers made their second trade of the NFL draft during the third round when they sent a pair of fourth-round choices to the Rams in exchange for the 88th overall choice.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the 49ers maybe move up again early on Day 3 using their trio of fifth-round choices.
They went into the draft with nine selections, but their free agency class diminished some of their need to replenish the roster with draft choices. After the Rams trade they have eight picks and they may not need that many.
