49ers trade 3 1st-round picks to Dolphins for No. 3 overall pick in 2021

We have our first blockbuster trade of the 2021 NFL draft, as the San Francisco 49ers and Miami Dolphins have agreed to a deal that will shake up the early landscape of this year’s event.

The Dolphins are sending the No. 3 overall pick to the 49ers in return for a massive haul that includes three first-round picks and a third-round selection, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Miami gets the No. 12 overall pick in the 2021 draft, and San Francisco’s first-round picks in each of the next two drafts, as well.

It’s hard to imagine any team making this kind of bold move up the board for anything other than a quarterback, so there’s still plenty of drama to behold as the 49ers now sit behind two other teams that could also looking for quarterbacks, the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets.
