The 49ers had a bevy of quality options available when they were on the clock with the No. 36 pick in the draft. With a slew of needs to fill, they attacked their biggest weakness on offense with wide receiver Deebo Samuel.
He was the first receiver taken in the second round, and only the third receiver drafted overall. A few 49ers players immediately jumped on Twitter to celebrate the pick.

It’s clear the coaching staff likes Samuel, and their continued focus on culture is palpable in this selection.
