2019 NFL Draft: 49ers awarded compensatory pick, giving them 6 selections

The 49ers were awarded a compensatory pick in the 2019 draft for the loss of free agent outside linebacker Aaron Lynch last offseason. They acquired the 40th selection in the sixth round (No. 212 overall).

San Francisco now holds six picks in April’s draft. They don’t have a fifth- or a seventh-round pick. Their fifth-round selection went to Detroit in the deal for offensive lineman Laken Tomlinson prior to the 2017 season, and the seventh-rouond choice was dealt to Cleveland for offensive lineman Shon Coleman late last preseason.

Here is an updated list of the 49ers’ 2019 picks:

Round 1, No. 2
Round 2, No. 36
Round 3, No. 67
Round 4, No. 104
Round 6, No. 176
Round 6, No. 212

The draft is in Nashville, Tenn., this year and runs from Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 27.
