The 49ers’ injury woes aren’t slowing down as the team reaches the finish line on the 2020 season. In fact, they appear to be accelerating. Eight players missed Tuesday’s practice – the first ahead of their Week 16 matchup Saturday against the Arizona Cardinals.
Two other players were listed as limited participants, and five others are on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
Three of the players out Tuesday are likely done for the year, including wide receiver Deebo Samuel, running back Raheem Mostert and quarterback Nick Mullens. Samuel has a hamstring injury, Mostert is dealing with another high ankle sprain and Mullens injured his throwing elbow late in Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys. None of the three are expected back in 2020.
Here’s the full participation report from Tuesday.
