49ers injury report: 4 starters out with injuries

The injuries are starting to mount for the 49ers as they enter a more difficult second quarter of their season. It was announced Wednesday that starting right tackle Mike McGlinchey would miss four-to-six weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his knee. He joined a growing list of missing starters for San Francisco.

They’ve been able to withstand the injuries to this point, but McGlinchey and fullback Kyle Juszczyk are going to be tougher to replace given the team’s lack of depth at tackle and fullback. Both of them were hurt in the 49ers’ Week 5 win over the Browns. They’re already starting their swing tackle Justin Skule at left tackle for the injured Joe Staley. Juszczyk is the only fullback on the roster.

Here’s what the 49ers’ first practice report of the week looked like Wednesday. It probably won’t change throughout the week with McGlinchey, Juszczyk, Staley and Ahkello Witherspoon all dealing with injuries that will keep them out multiple weeks.
